Butler, Demro, Dever, <br />FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it received the affirmative vote of at least <br />five (5) membe($ elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest <br />period allowed by law provide for creating positions and rates of pay for full-time and certain part- <br />time annual salaried employees and hourly rate employees not covered by a collective bargaining <br />agreement in the several departments! divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, including the <br />Chief of Fire, Chief of PoHce and Civil Service Commissioners, effective January 1, 2006 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five members elected thereto determines that this <br />ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date <br />posslbie as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 12 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF <br />THE crn OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the City <br />in that in the interest of public, service, welfare and safety, it is necessary to adjust the compensation <br />of employees. Now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE crn OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' <br /> <br />Section 1. Classificationsr rates of pay, pay grades, levels and certain other <br />supplemental compensation for non-probationary fuJi-time and certain part-timer annual <br />salaried and hourly rate employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement are <br />hereby authorized in the several departments, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, <br />as modified hereinr and with the approval of the Department Director, Director of Finance, <br />Human Resources Administrator and Mayor. Effective January 1, 2006, all current full-time, <br />certain part-time, annual salaried and hourly rate employees shall receive a general increase <br />to their existing pay of three percent (3%), said increase to be retroactive to January 1, 2006. <br />This general increase shall take effect only if the employee is employed with the City on the <br />date that this Ordinance is adopted and the result does not Increase any employee's rate of <br />pay to an amount greater than the maximum rate for the pay grade to which their <br />classification is assigned as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2.
