ORDINANCE NO.: 72-06A <br /> <br />HLACED ON iST READING& REFERRED TO THE <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE 2/5/07. <br /> SECOND READING 2/20/07. <br /> <br />BY~utler, Demro, Dever, FitzGerald, <br /> Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it received the <br />affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, amending <br />Ordinance 72-06, adopted December 18~ 2006, for the purpose of authorizing the <br />Director of Finance to pay the cost of an additional membership (Ohio School <br />Resource Officers Association) of municipal employees and/or Departments and <br />Divisions in certain associations in the year 2007, and declaring such memberships <br />to be in the public interest. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected <br />thereto determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this <br />ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, <br />SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, and that Jt is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of <br />municipal departments in that this addition is necessary to enable members to <br />participate in training and wiJl provide education materials for our School Resource <br />Officers. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Sectionl. That Ordinance No, 72-06, adopted December 18, 2006, <br />currently reading as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the <br />Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of <br />Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager be and are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into contracts with organizations for <br />the following memberships, contracts not to exceed $75,000, except <br />as hereinafter provided: <br /> <br />American Association of Police Polygraphists <br />American Concrete Institute <br />American Payroll Association <br />American Polygraph Association <br />American Public Health Association <br />American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) <br />American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers <br />American Society of Sanitaq~ Engineers <br />American Society on Aging <br />American Water Works Association (AWWA) <br />Association of MunicipaI-County.ludges of Ohiot Inc. <br />Association of Ohio Health Commissioners <br />Association of Ohio Recyders <br />Assodation of Public Treasurers of the US & Canada <br /> <br />Building Officials Conference of Northeastern Ohio (BOCONEO) <br /> <br />Cleveland Bar Association <br />Cleveland Engineering Society (CES) <br />Cleveland Neighborhood Development Corporation <br />Cleveland Restoration Society Preservation Resource <br /> Center Northeast Ohio <br />Community Development Reporber <br />Consod;ium for Healthy and Immunized Communities <br />Construction Management Assoc. of America (CMAA Northern Ohio) <br />Cuyaboga Animal Warden's Society <br />Coyahoga County Bar Association <br /> <br /> <br />
