<br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least
<br />five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force aRer the
<br />earliest period allowed by law, amending Ordinance 74-06A, adopted May 9, 2007 for the
<br />purpose of adding and deleting contracting authority for the Mayor (Director of Public Safety),
<br />the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing
<br />Manager to enter into contracts for professinnal services, and to advertise for bids and enter into
<br />contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and eqnipment
<br />as authorized by the 2007 Appropriation Ordinance and ~the Administrative Code of the City of
<br />Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that
<br />this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall ~ake effect at the earliest
<br />date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED
<br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual
<br />daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide
<br />necessary services in a timely manner, now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD~ STATE OF OHIO

<br /> Section 1 That Ordinance No. 74-06A, adopted May 9, 2007,
<br /> currently reading as follows:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of
<br />Public Works, the Dkeator of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the
<br />Purchasing Manager be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
<br />contract or contracts for supplies, services and equipment with the lowest and
<br />best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law, as follows:
