AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Cduncil, otherwise it shall take effect at the earliest period allowed by law, establishing rates-for each two-week session of the Help to Others (H20) Summer Camp, a program of the Lakewood Department of Human Services/Division of Youth, effective June 1, 2008. WHEREAS, the current two-week Summer Camp session fee is $50.00, and WHEREAS, the cost to operate the H2O Summer Camp has increased and a fee increase is necessary to maintain the program, and WHEREAS, the H2O Summer Camp is a program only for Lakewood residents, and WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that public information for the current program year must be available by April 1, 2008. Now Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That the fee for participation in a two-week H2O summer camp session operated by the Department of Human Services/Division of Youth be and the same are hereby established effective June 1, 2008 as follows: Lakewood ®epa~ment ofi Human Services/®ivision of Youth Help to Others (H20) Summer Camo Two-week Session (each) $ 60.00 per camper
