<br />Ordinance No. 50-08 <br /> <br />By: Antonio, Bullock, Butler, <br />Dever, Madlgan, Powers, Summers. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City, to enter into the <br />FY2008-2011 Amended and Restated Agreement with the Cuyahoga County Housing <br />Consortium for the administration of the Lakewood HOME Program and to authorize <br />additional routine renewals of the agreement to incorporate only those changes <br />mandated by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga Housing Consortium, has been designated by HUD as a <br />grantee of funds under HUD's Home Investment Partnership Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is a member of the Consortium and as such has been <br />granted funds to assist eligible homebuyers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has developed and implemented the Lakewood HOME <br />Program to support home ownership affordability within the City among eligible <br />homebuyers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, every three years HUD requires the Consortium's lead entity, <br />Cuyahoga County, to renew the Consortium's agreements with both HUD and the <br />individual member communities; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each time HUD changes guidelines that directly impact the agreement <br />between the Consortium and the City of Lakewood, addition legislation is necessary to <br />implement those changes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Consortium has requested that member communities, including <br />the City of Lakewood obtain authorization to enter into future renewal agreements or <br />amended agreements which only incorporate those changes mandated by HUD. Now, <br />therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into FY2008-2011 Amended and Restated Agreement with the <br />Cuyahoga County Housing Consortium for the administration of the Lakewood HOME <br />Program. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Mayor is further authorized to enter into additional <br />renewal or amended agreements in order to continue the City's participation in the <br />HOME Program or to incorporate HUD mandated changes to the program, as approved <br /> <br />r <br />
