AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to enter into an agreement with the Center for Families and Children to accept title to real property located at 2070 Dowd Street, Lakewodd, Ohio (Permanent Parcel No. 315-23-199) and allowing the Center for Families and Children to share in the proceeds of the sale of the property in the event that the property is sold. WHEREAS, the Center for Families and Children own real property located at 2070 Dowd Street, Lakewood, Ohio (PP No. 315-23-199); and WHEREAS, the property was formerly used as a child care center; and WHEREAS, the property is functionally obsolete and is in need of major reinvestment in order to be put to a profitable use; and WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood would like to obtain the property for the purpose of land banking the property for future development. Now Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That the Director of Planning .and Development to enter into an agreement with the Center for Families and Children to accept title to real property located at 2070 Dowd Street, Lakewood, Ohio (Permanent Parcel No. 315-23-199) and allowing the Center for Families and Children to share in the~p~oceeds of the sale of the property in the event that the property is sold on or before March 1, 2011. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted i uch formal action, were~ylin meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requi ents.
