ORDINANCE NO. 90-08A BY: Antonio, Bullock, Butler, Dever, <br />Madigan, Powers, Summers <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, amending <br />Ordinance 90-08A, adopted December 22, 2008 for the purpose of adding <br />American Planning Association, authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), <br />the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or <br />the Purchasing Manager to enter into contracts for Memberships as authorized <br />by the 2009 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code of the City of <br />Lakewood, contracts not to exceed $60,000 without separate Resolution of <br />Council. <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to provide the authorization to the Mayor <br />(Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the <br />Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to enter into contracts for <br />Memberships as authorized by the 2009 Appropriation Ordinance and the <br />Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood as otherwise provided by law, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected <br />thereto determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this <br />ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, <br />SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of <br />municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide <br />necessary services in a timely manner, now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br />Section 1, That Ordinance 90-08, adopted December 22, 2008, currently reading <br />as follows: <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public <br />Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing <br />Manager be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contracts with <br />organizations for the following memberships, contracts not to exceed $60,000, <br />except as hereinafter provided: <br />American Association of Police Polygraphists <br />1 <br />
