ORDINANCE NO, 2_17 <br />BY:Anderson, Bullock, Litten, Marx, <br />Nowlin, O'Leary, O'Malley. <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least five members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest pe- <br />riod allowed by law, authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Development or the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement with a licensed real estate broker to market for sale the real <br />property located at 11900 Madison Avenue (PPN 315 -15 -025), 1468 W. 117`h Street (PPN 315- <br />13 -103), and 1482 -84 W. 117th Street (PPN 315 -14 -002), 1252 Westlake Avenue (PPN 311 -29- <br />066), vacant lot associated with Newman Avenue (PPN 311 -15 -072), 1589 Newman Avenue <br />(PPN 315 -15 -073), 1635 Hopkins Avenue (PPN 315 -15 -031), 1214 Gladys Avenue (PPN 312- <br />13 -054) and 2147 Dowd Avenue (PPN 215 -22 -034) for a period of 120 days, pursuant to Section <br />155.07 of the Codified Ordinances. <br />WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the above listed properties that have previously <br />been authorized for listing and sale; and <br />WHEREAS, said period of time for marketing and sale of said properties has expired; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined it is in the best interest of the City to sell said <br />real property and that such sale shall further the interest of the City and its residents; and <br />WHERAS, this Council by a vote of at least five of its members determines that this or- <br />dinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date <br />possible as set forth in Article III, Sections 10 and 13 of the Second Amended Charter of the City <br />of Lakewood, and that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, <br />health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal department in that <br />these properties are currently vacant and immediate action is required; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. The Director of Planning and Development ( "Director ") or Mayor is hereby <br />authorized and directed, on behalf of the City, to solicit proposals from licensed real estate bro- <br />kers and to enter into an agreement with the broker deemed most responsive determined by the <br />Director, to market real property located at 11900 Madison Avenue (PPN 315 -15 -025), 1468 W. <br />117`h Street (PPN 315 -13 -103), and 1482 -84 W. 117th Street (PPN 315 -14 -002), 1252 Westlake <br />Avenue (PPN 311 -29 -066), vacant lot associated with Newman Avenue (PPN 311-15-072),1589 <br />Newman Avenue (PPN 315 -15 -073), 1635 Hopkins Avenue (PPN 315 -15 -031), Gladys Avenue <br />(PPN 312 -13 -054) and 2147 Dowd Avenue (PPN 215 -22 -034) for a period of 120 days, pursuant <br />to Section 155.07 of the Codified Ordinances. <br />
