<br /> ' AN EI~IERGEIdCv RESOLUTION determining to submit to the electors of the City
<br /> of Lakewood, Ohio, the question of issuing bonds in the sum of~Eight Hundred
<br /> Fifty Thousand Dollars (x850,000.00) for the purpose of the acquisition of real
<br /> estate for sites, erection of new fireproof hospital buildings and the improvement
<br /> of existing fireproof hospital buildings and for the purchase of furniture,
<br /> furnishings and equipment of said buildings.
<br /> 9V'rIEREP.S, this Council on September 3, 19l~b, adopted Resolution Ido. 3271
<br /> declaring the necessity of issuing Lakevrood Hospital Sonds of the 1%i.ty of Lakewood
<br /> in the sum of Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars (a850,000.OC) for the purpose
<br /> of the acquisition of real estate for sites, erection o£ new fireproof hospital
<br /> 1 buildings and the improvement of existing fireproof hospital buildings and for the
<br /> purchase of furniture, furnishings and equipment of said buildings, :and providing
<br /> 1 for the submission to the electors of the City of Lakevrood at the next November
<br /> election the question of issuing said bonds and the levy of a tax outside of the
<br /> limitation imposed by Article %II, Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of
<br /> I Ohio in order to pay the interest on and retire said bonds, and
<br /> VYIIEREAS, the Auditor of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, has certified to this Council
<br /> his calculation of the average annual levy throughout the life o£ the said bonds
<br /> provided for in said Resolution No. 3271, which vrill be required to pay the interest
<br /> i on and retire said bonds, assuming that they are all issued in one series and that
<br /> the amount of the tax list of the City of Lakevrood re*nains throughout the life of
<br /> said bonds the same as the amount of the tax list for the current year, to be
<br />
<br /> ~ ~ •5699 mills for each one dollar (51.00) of valuation and 5.699 cents for each one
<br /> hundred dollars (,~",1C0.00) of valuation, and '

<br /> tiM1rHEREAS, an emergency exists in that the next Iovember election will be held
<br /> on D?ovember 5, 1911b, and in that it is required of this Council to certify its
<br /> ~ resolution to the Deputy State Supervisors of Elections of the County more than
<br /> forty (110) days prior to said election, and in order to provide for the public
<br /> peace, health, welfare and safety and the usual daily operation of a municipal
<br /> department, now, therefore, '
<br /> ~ BE IT RESOLVED HY^THE COUP?CIL OF THE OITY OF LAKEIt'OOD, STATE OF OHIO;
<br /> Section 1. That this Council desires to proceed with the issue of said
<br /> bonds in the amount of Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars (5850,000.00) for the
<br /> purpose of the acquisition of real estate for sites, erection of new fireproof.
<br /> hospital buildings and the improvement of existing fireproof hospital buildings
<br /> and for the purchase of furniture, furnishings and equipment o£ said buildings, and
<br /> to submit the question of issuing said bona's to the electors of the City of Lal:ev,ood,
<br /> Ohio that the Clerk of this Council be, and he is hereby directed to certify this
<br /> resolution and Resolution I?o. 3271 adopted September 3, 19116, to the Deputy State
<br /> ;T Supervisors of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, together vrith the amount of the
<br /> average tax levy, expressed in dollars and cents, for each one hundred dollars of
<br /> valuation, as we$1 as in mills for each one dollar o£ valuation, estimated by the
<br /> County Auditor as 5.699 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation and .5699
<br /> mills for each one dollar of valuation, and the maximum number of years req~.iired to
<br /> retire said bonds, namely, twenty-three (23) years, and to give notice of such
<br /> election in accordance with the r_,rovisions of Section 2293-21 of the General Code
<br /> of Ohio.
<br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency
<br /> measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, provided it receives
<br /> the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council it shall take
<br /> effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the I'`ayor.
