RESOLUTION NOo 3515 BY Mr. Fairgrieve <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, <br />to advertise for bids for the purchase of furniture and furnishings for the Hospitale <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the General Election, November 6, 1951, the electors approved <br />a bond issue in the amount of $300,000~00 for the construction and improvement of <br />fireproof hospital buildings, and the purchase of furniture and furnishings, and, <br /> <br /> WHerEAS, ~the money from the proceeds of said bonds is now in the City <br />Treasury, and, . <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the purchase of said furniture and furnishings should be made <br />without delay, and, <br /> <br /> WHERF~S, an emergency exists, in order to provide for the ~mmediate preser- <br />vation of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the usual <br />daily operation of the Lakewood Hospital, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOL~ BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAEEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of furniture and furnish- <br />ings for the Hospital. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: April 7, 1952 <br /> <br />George F,, Qx~inn <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Approved:..
