I <br /> z <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 3593 BY Mr. Fahrenbaeh <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Ma or to advertise <br /> for bids for the purchase of one X-Ray Therapy unit complete with all <br /> accessories necessary thereto, for Lakewood Hospital. <br /> WHEREAS, in February 1952 an X-Ray Therapy unit was installed <br /> in Lakewood Hospital by the Picker X-Ray Corporation, on an experi- <br /> mental basis and without obligation to the city, and <br /> WHEREAS, within the past two weeks the Picker X-Ray Corporation <br /> removed this equipment, and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide for therapeutic treatment for <br /> patients it is necessary for the city to purchase an X-Ray Therapy <br /> unit, and <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists in order to provide for the im- <br /> mediate preservation of the public property, health and safety and to <br /> provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, <br /> therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY .THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> ~ OF OHIO: <br /> =i Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to. <br /> advertise for bids for the purchase of one X-Ray Therapy unit complete <br /> with all accessories necessary thereto, for Lakewood Hospital. <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the resaons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br /> elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br /> upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> ;F=. <br /> Adopted: May 3..1954 <br /> Wm.
