RESOLUTION NO. 3701 BY 1~. Fairgrieve <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION designating Frank P. Celeste, Mayor, <br />as the official of the City of Lakewood who is authorized and em- <br />powered to execute the application form as required by the Federal <br />Civil Defense Administration, in connection with its application to <br />the State of Ohio for an allocation of funds to be expended for re- <br />pairing and placing in service the ~ublic facilities of the city. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists in that the City of Lakewood was <br />struck by a violent storm on May 12, 1956, causing damage to the pub- <br />lic facilities of said city, and it is necessary to make immediate <br />application for reimbursement of funds expended for repairing the <br />damage done to the public facilities by such storm and that this reso- <br />lution is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public prop- <br />erty, health and safety; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The said City of Lakewood is in need of aid in fi- <br />nancing the emergency repairs and placing in service its public facil- <br />ities; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEW00D, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That we, the Council of the City of Lakewoed, in <br />regular session on this 21st day of May, 1956, do hereby make appli- <br />cation to the State of Ohio for an allocation of funds to be expended <br />for repairing and placing in service the city's public facilities. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Frank P. Celeste, Mayor of the City of <br />Lakewood, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute the applica- <br />tion form as required by the Federal Civil Defense Administration, on <br />behalf of said city. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to.Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: May .21, 1956 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
