RESOLUTION NO. 3705 BY <br /> <br />Messrs. Chockley, Fahrenbach, <br /> Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyer, Quinn, <br /> Ward. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending the City of Cleveland Heights for <br />its splendid cooperation and assistance, in offering manpower and <br />equipment to the City of Lakewood, to help in clearing the debris, <br />as a result of the recent storm. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On the night of May 12, 1956, the City of Lakewood, <br />Ohio was struck by a violent storm, as a result of which two per- <br />sons lost their lives, many were injured and much property was de- <br />stroyed: and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The scope of the disaster was of such great magni- <br />tude that the city personnel and facilities were inadequate to cope <br />with the havoc and destruction following the the wake of sueh storm; <br />and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, The City of Cleveland Heights offered manpower <br />and equipment to help clear the debris from the streets, now, there- <br />fore be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the members of the City Council adopt this <br />resolution as an expression of appreciation to the City of Cleveland <br />Heights for its aid and assistance to our community in its time of <br />need; and be it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the Clerk of Council transmit an authentica- <br />ted copy of this resolution to the City of Cleveland Heights. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />May 21, 1956 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
