RE$OLVTION NO. ~710 B~ <br /> <br />Memsrs, Chockle7, Fahrenbach, <br /> Fairgrieve, Gaydo~, <br /> 6ottermeyer, Quinn, <br /> Wa~d, <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTIO~ expressing the appreciation of the City of <br />I~kewood, Ohio, te Mr. Vel PaterSon, Federa~ Administrator cf Civil <br />Defense, for the splendid cooperation extenced to its officials dur- <br />ing the recent major disaster. <br /> <br /> ~HE~AS, On the night of May 12, 19~6' ~he City of Lakewood, <br />Ohio, ~as struck by a ~iolent storm, as a result of ~tch two per- <br />sons lost their lives, many were injured and much property was de- <br /> <br />stroyed; and <br /> <br /> ~,EREAS, The scope of the disaster was of such great magni- <br />tude that the city personnel and facilities were inadequate to cope <br />with the havoc and ~eetruction following in the ~ake of such storm~ <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> ~EREA$, ~e wish to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. <br />Yal Paterson, now therefore, Be it <br /> <br /> RESO4VED that the members of the City Council adopt this <br />resolution as an expression of appreciation to Mr. ¥~1 Paterson for. <br />his aid an6 assistance to cur community in its time of aeed~ and be <br />it further <br /> <br /> RE~OLVED that the Clerk cf Council transmit an authenticated <br />copy of this resolution to F~.
