RESOLUTION NO. 3718 BY Mr. Gaydes <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION requesting the Director of Finance to <br />certify to this Council the maximmm maturity ef bonds in the amount of <br />two humdred fifty thousand dollars proposed to be issued as hereinafter <br />provided for the construction and the equipment, fmrniture, furnishings <br />and apparatus of a fireproof public swimming pool and service building <br />at Madmson Park, and his estimate of the life of permanent improvements <br />proposed to be constructed from the proceeds ef said bonds. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council contemplates submitting to the electors <br />ef the City of Lakeweod the question of issuing the bonds morepartie- <br />ularly hereinafter described in Section I hereof; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sections 133.21 and 133.2~ of the Revised Code pro-u <br />vide that before any resolution, ordinance, or other measure providing <br />for the issuance ef bonds is passed er adopted, the fiscal officer <br />shall certify to the bond-issuing authority the maximum maturity of such <br />bonds calculated in accordance with the previsions ef Section 133.20 of <br />the Revised Code including the weighted average ef the amounts proposed <br />to be expended for the several classes of the improvements and, also, <br />that the fiscal officer shall certify the estimated life ef the asset, <br />property, construction or permanent improvements proposed to be acquired, <br />constructed, improved, extended, er enlarged from the proceeds of said <br />bonds; amd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Director of Finance is the fiscal officer of the <br />City of Lakewood, as defined in Section 133o01 ef the Revised Code; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constttutes an emergency for the rea- <br />sons that this Council desmres to submmt the question to the electors <br />at the election to be held November 6, 1956, that Revised Code Section <br />133.09 requtres the taxing authoripy to certify t~e resolution, passed <br />and containing provisions as in samd section provided, to th? County <br />Auditor at least 110 days prior to the election at which it ms desmred <br />to submit such question and that it provides for the public health, <br />welfare, and safety and the usual daily operation of a municipal de- <br />partment; now, therefore, <br /> <br />0HIe: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance be, and he is hereby, <br />requested to certify to this Council the maximum maturity of bonds in <br />the amount of two hundred fifty thousand dollars, the proceeds whereof <br />it is proposed to use two hundred twenty thousand dollars for the con- <br />struction of a fireproof public swimming pool and service building and <br />to use thirty thousand dollars for equipment, furniture, furnishings <br />and apparatus in equipping said swimming pool and service building. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its a- <br />doption. <br /> <br />Adopted: July 2, 1956 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
