R~S0LUTION NO. 376~ BY{ <br /> <br />Messrs. ~ard, Chockley, <br /> Fahrenbach, Fairgrieve, <br /> ~ydo$, Gottermeyer. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing the appreciation of the Council of the <br />City of Lakewood to the Federal Civil Defense Administration for its <br />co-operation in the wake following the M~y 12, 19~6 disaster, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On May 12, 1956, the City ef Lakewood was struck by a <br />major disaster which in the determination of the President was of suffi- <br />cient severity and magnitude to warrant disaster assistance by the <br />federal government to supplement the efforts and available resources of <br />the State and our municipality, and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, Pursuan~ to such determination, the City of Lakewood <br />made application for assistance to the Federal Civil Defense Administra- <br />tion, and <br /> <br /> h~ER~AS, The Federal Civil Defense Administration was most <br />helpful to the City of Lakewood ina'multitude of ways too numerous to <br />mention, and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, $~he Council of the City of Lakewood, on behalf of the <br />City, desires to ~xprees its sincere appreciation for the splendid <br />assistance and CO operation accorded to the City following such disaster, <br />now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, That the Council adopt this resolution as an expression <br />of appreciation and gratitude to the Federal Civil Defense Administra- <br />tion for its ce-operation and assistance following such disaster, and <br />be it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, That the Clerk of Council transmit a duly authenti- <br />cated copy of this resolution to the Federal Civil Defense Administra- <br />tion. <br /> <br />Adopted:=Febru~r~; ~, 1957 <br /> <br />Approved~..Febr~..~ry_5. 1957 _ <br /> <br />Tho~.C,.~ard. <br /> <br />~.
