A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of P~blic Works. to advertise for bid~ for furnishing 6"__$", 10", 12" and 16" gate - valves .as required, for the year beginning April 1, 1957. for the in- stallatxon of new water mains or for improvements Or replacements in existing mains. ~EREAS, Council has, by Resolution No. 373~, declared the necessity of issuing water main bonds of the City of Lakewood for the purp?.se of improving, the ~. tear distrib, ution system by installing ~ains and~ the necessary valves, aydrants and other appurtep~nces incidental aha necessary thereto, and ~HEREAS, The Council, by Ordinance No. 76-56, provided for the iss,mnce of bonds of the City of Lakewood %o provide a fund for the purpose of improving the ~ater distribution system by installing mains and the necessary valves, hydrants and other appurtenances incidental and necessary thereto, and ~ WHEREAS, It may be to the advantage of the City of Lakewood to furnish the materials for the construction and improvement of the said water m~ins, now, therefore, BE XTRESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OFT HE CIT! OF LAKE~OD, STATE OF OHIO~ Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public ~orks, be and ~e i~ hereby authorize~and directed to advertise for bids for furnishing 6", 8", 10". 12" and 16" gate valves, as required, for the installation of water mains or for improvements or replacements in existing mains, for the year beginning April 1, 19~7.
