<br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorieing the Mayor, as Director of
<br />Public Works, to re-advertise for bids for the concession of operating
<br />refreshment stands in Lakew~od Park and in Madison Park for the period
<br />beginning May 15, 1957 and ending November 30, 1957, and, in the
<br />alternative for the Period beginning May 15,1957 and ending November
<br />30, 19 9.

<br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the public w~lfare
<br />and the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, there-
<br />fore,
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE
<br />OF OHIO~
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, ae Director efPublicWorks, be and
<br />he is hereby, authorized to re-advertiee for bide for the concession
<br />of operating refreshment stands in Lakewood Park and in MAdison Park
<br />in the City of Lakew~od, for the period beginning May 15, 1957 and
<br />ending November 30, 1957,. and, in the alternative, for the period .
<br />beginning }~y 15, 1957 and ending November 30, 1959, The advertise
<br />ment shall include statements to the effect that separate bids are
<br />required ae to each Park~ that a bidder may bid with respect to
<br />either or both periods of time above referred to~ that the success-
<br />ful bidder shall furnish a publi~ liability policy in the amount of
<br />Five Thousand Dollars ($5,OO0.OO} if awarded for the period beginning
<br />~ay 15, 1957 and ending ~ovember 30, 1957, Fifteen Thousand Dollars
<br />($15,O00.OO} if awarded for the period beginning May 15, 1957 and
<br />ending November 30, 1959 and a performance bond in the amount of
<br />One Thousand Dollars ($1,OO0.00} if awarded for the period beginning
<br />~y 15, 19~7 and ending November ]O, 1957, Three Thousand Dollars
<br /> 3,000,O0~ if awarded for theperiod beginning May 15, 1957and
<br />ending November 30, 1959, each in favor of the City of Lakewood and
<br />in terms satisfactory to the Director of Public Works~ and that the
<br />City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any parts thereof,
<br />waive any statements or omission of statements in the bide as may be
<br />determined by the Council to be informalities, and to accept, the bid
<br />or bids or any parts thereof as ~sy be determined by Council to be
<br />most favorable to the City of Lakewood.

<br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emer-
<br />gency measure for the reasons stated in the p[eamble hereof and! pro-
<br />vided it receives the affirmative vote of two thirds of all memoere
<br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately
<br />upon itc adoption and approval by the
<br />
