RESOLUTION NO. 3?96 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Gottermeyer, Quinn, <br /> Ward, Chockley, <br /> Fahrenbach, Fairgrieve, <br /> Gaydos. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of <br />Public Works to advertise for bids for the purchase of a bookkeeping <br />machine for the Finance Department. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate <br />preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and to provide for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal departments, to wit: The <br />Finance Department, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the work in the Finance Department has increased to <br />such an extent that the former procedure of bookkeeping is inadequate, <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be <br />and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of <br />a bookkeeping machine for the Finance Department. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: June ~, 1957 <br /> <br />Approved: June, ~. 1957 <br /> <br /> ....
