RESOLUTION NO. 3833 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Fahrenbach, Fairgrieve, <br />Gaydos, ~ottermeyer, <br />Lawther, Ward, Chockley. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION relative to the faithfml service of Miss Mildred <br />Morlan, Bookkeeper in the Finance Department of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of this council that <br />Miss Mildred Morlan has completed thirty-five years of service as a <br />bookkeeper in the finance department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, She was appointed to her position on October 1, 1922 <br />by former Mayor L. E. HiI1, and has served during the administrations <br />of Mayors Edward A. Wiegand, Amos Lo Kauffman and now Frank P. Celeste; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, During such three and one-half decades she rendered <br />faithfUl, loyal and dedicated service to our city, being ever willing <br />to respond even beyond the call of duty; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In addition to her excellent service to our city, she <br />displays an interest in the varied activities of our community life; <br />however, she has selected the Lakewood Business and Professional <br />Women's Club as the special project to which she devotes a substantial <br />part of her leisure time; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Her colleagues in the Lakewood Business and Profes- <br />sional Women,s Club, in recognition of her great interest in such <br />organization and as a tribute to her leadership, have elected her as <br />the President of their club; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Miss Morlan is a member of the Detroit Avenue Methodist <br />Church and here again she lends her skills and talents for the benefit <br />of such church by serving as a member of its finance committee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Miss Morlan is joined in her spirit of public service <br />by her brother, Loren W. Morlan, who is Superintendent of the Water <br />Department of the City of Lakewood; now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, That this council express to Miss Mildred Morlan its <br />heartfelt appreciation for her thirty-five years of faithful service to <br />our community, and convey to her, on behalf of the citizens of Lakewood, <br />warmest wishes for continued good health, happiness and success; and <br />that we adopt this resolution and cause a copy thereof to be spread <br />upon the minutes of this meeting, and be it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, That the clerk of council be and he is hereby directed <br />to transmit a duly authenticated copy of this resolution to Miss Mildred <br />Morlan, 16415 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />October 21, 1957 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
