WHEREAS, It has been reported to Council that it would be ~esirable for residents of the City of Lakewood to combine~ consoli- cate and unite qualified health collections in the City, and WHEREAS, The Combined Realth Collection of Lakewood Inc. has been incorporated for the purpose of combining, eon~olidating and ttuiting such collections within the City, and ~EREAS, The American Cancer ~ociety, The Arthritis and ~hsumatism Foundation, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Cerebral Palsy ~ss, ociation Inc. of Cuyahoga County, The Diabetic of Oreate~ ~leveland ~uo t~hs Nephroele Youndatisn have agreed to be represented By The Combined Health Collection of Lakewood Inc., amd ~EREA$, The Week of ]tay ~th to llth 195g has Been selected as United Health ~eek, during which solic, itations will be ~de for the purpose of raising funds for the ~aic health organi~ations, Sow, therefore, EE IT RESOLVED ~Y THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE¥~DOD, ~TATE OF O~lO: Section 1. That this Council wholeheartly supports the prin- ciple of consolidating health collections and for such purpose do esignatc a certain period of time during which collections for such purposes shall be conducted.
