RESOLUTION NO. 3920 BY: Messrs. Fairgrieve, Gaydos, ~ttermeyer, Lawther, Ward,Checkley, Fahrenbach. RESOLUTION congratulating the Cleveland $1~vak Radio Club on the 2Otb anniversary ef its fo~ding. WHEREAS, On February 7, 1959, the Cleveland Slovak Radio Gl'ab celebrates the 2Oth amniversary ef its founding; and WHEREAS, The Cleveland Slevak Radio Club nmmbers among its membership hundreds of Lakewoed citizens; and WHEREAS, The Cleveland Slovak Radio Club, by its weekly broadcast of beautiful Slovak music and songs, has brought much listening pleasure te great multitudes of omr city and other communi- ties throughout the northern part ef Ohio and adjoining states$ and as far north as Sarnia, Ontario Canada; and WHEREAS, The Cleveland Slovak Radio Club has afforded bread- cast time to hundreds ef prominent men and wemen who have presented to the listening audience a history ef Slovakia, its cultmre, its problems and aspirations; and '~HEREAS, The Cleveland $1evak Radio Club, by its weekly broadcasts, has made an important contribmtion to the cultmral and social development of ear community; and WHEREAS, The Co~cil ef the City of Lakeweed wishes to ac- knowledge publicly this contribution of the Cleveland Slovak Radio Club; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Council of the City ef Lakewoed, that we extend to the Cleveland Slevak Radio Club, omr sincerest congratula- tions on its 20th anniversary and convey to this fine organization ear best wishe~ for continued success in promoting the beautiful music and songs ef Slovakia, the homeland of the ancestors of thom- sands ef our citizens, and be it fmrther RESOLVED, That the Clerk of Council be and he is hereby di- rected to transmit a duly authenticated copy of th~s resolution to John J.
