Pd~SOL~PION NO. 3999 BY: Messrs. Huffman, Lawther, Ward, Williamson, 0hockley, Gaydos, Gottermeyer. AN EMERGENOY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of Public Works to advertise for bids for the purchase of one mist blower and the sale of one mist blower, now in service in the Depart- ment of Parks and Public Grounds. WHEREAS, In order to avail the Division of Parks and Public Grounds of modern, efficient and up-to-date equipment, it is neces- sary to authorize the purchase of one new mist blower, and, WHEREAS, The said purchase and sale should be made at as early a date as possible, and, WHEREAS, An emergency exists in that the same provides for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety, and in that this resolution provides for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, BE IT RES0LVED BY THE CO,OIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEW00D, STATE OF 0HI0: Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase and sale of the following equipment: The purchase of a mist blower The sale of one used mist blower The amount bid for the used mist blower to be sold by the City shall be deducted from the price bid for the new mist blower to be purchased by the Oity. The net price shall be quoted. Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measmre for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote ef two-thirds of all mem- bers elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im- mediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
