Gottermeyer~ Huffman~ <br /> Lawther, Williamson~ <br /> Chockley. <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of <br />mublic Works to enter into a contract or contracts, after approval <br />by the Council. for the installation of water mains in Forest Road <br />from Lake Road to West Forest Road; in Clifton Road from Clifton <br />Blvdo to approximately 130 feet west of Arlington Road; in West <br />Clifton Road from Clifton Road to Lake Road and in Wilbert Road from <br />Lake Avenue to Cliff Drive. <br /> <br /> ~{EREAS, This Council has determined to proceed with the <br />improvements set forth in the title hereof by contract, and, <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, This Council has, by Resolution No. 4004, <br />declared the necessity of issuing bonds to provide funds with which <br />to improve the water distribution system, and, <br /> <br /> WHEPJ~AS, This Council has, by Ordinance No. 63-60, <br />provided for the issuance of bonds to provide funds with which to <br />improve the water distribution system, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is necessary to improve such water distribution <br />system in the manner set forth hereinafter to provide a sufficient <br />water supply to the residents of the City of Lakewood, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the in~nediate preservation of the public health and <br />safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department~ <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />or contracts for the following improvements: <br /> <br />1. Installation of an 8" water main in Forest Road from <br /> Lake Road to West Forest Road, <br />2. Installation of an 8" water main in Clifton Road from <br /> Clifton Blvd. to approximately 130 feet west of <br /> Arlington Road, <br /> <br />3. Installation of an 8" water main in West Clifton <br /> Road from Clifton Road to Lake Road. <br /> <br />4. Installation of an 8" water main in Wilbert Road <br /> from Lake Avenue to Cliff Drive. <br /> <br />with the lowest and be~t bidder after advertisement according to law <br />and only after approval of such contract or contracts by the <br />Council of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />July 5, 1~61 <br /> <br />F.
