RESOLUTION NO. 4099 BY: Messrs. Chockley, Gaydos, Gottermeyer, Huffman, Lawther, Ward. AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTiON authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works to negotiate with the LeRoi Division of Westinghouse. Air Brake Corporation for the purchase of certain property located at 12500 Berea Road. WHEREAS, This Council isdesirous of obtaining facilities for the garaging andmaintenance of motor vehicles and equipment for the several departments of the City, and, ~EREAS, The property of the LeRoi Division of Westinghouse Air Brake Corporation appears to be adequate for the purposes aforesaid, and, 'WHEREAS, It is the desire of this Council to determine whether the said property is available to the City of Lakewood for a consideration within the financial means of the City, and, WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into negotiations with officers of the LeRoi Division of Westinghouse Air Brake Corporation for the purpose of negotiating a possible purchase of the property of the said LeRoi Division of Westinghouse Air Brake Corporation located at 12500 Berea Road, and to report to Council in regard thereto. Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members elected to council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
