RESOLUTioN NO. 4115 BY: Messrs. Wendling, Williamson, <br /> Gaydos, Huffman, <br /> Lawther, Usher. <br /> A RESOLUTION to cormmend F, Wilson Chockley, Jr. for his <br />outstanding public service as a Councilman in the City of <br />Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 31, 1961, F. Wilson Chockley, Jr. Esq. <br /> terminated eight years of outstanding public service as a member <br /> of the Lakewood City Council, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Realizing that Mr. Chockley was dedicated to the <br /> betterment and advancement of all the citizens of this community, <br /> the electorate chose him as one of their representatives in <br /> Council for a term commencing Janury 1, 1954, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Re-elected to the position of Councilman at <br /> Large in 1958, Mr. Chockley, because of his selfless, able and <br /> devoted public service, was chosen by his fellow Councilmen to <br /> serve as President of the Council in 1960, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In many ways Mr. Chockley evinced continued <br /> interest in the progress and welfare of the City, and, <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, Highly popular and respected by his fellow <br />Councilmen and by all of the citizens of the City, his te~nination <br />of duties as a Councilman of the city of Lakewood is regretted <br />by all those with whom he had contact, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, His career as a lawyer and Councilman is such <br />as to serve as a model to all those in public life and to those <br />holding aspirations of seeking public office; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF LA/fEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends its appreciation <br />and the appreciation of all of the citizens of 'the City of <br />Lakewood to Mr. Chockley for an untiring and selfless devotion <br />to the public interest and wishes him continued success in his <br />business endeavors. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this resolution to Mr. F. Wilson Chockley, Jr. at 18106 Clifton <br />Road, Lakewood 7, Ohio, and that a copy of this resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: January 15. 1Q6~ <br /> Robert M.
