RESOLUTION NO. 4116 BT: Messrs. Williamson, Gaydos, Hu£fman, Lawther, Usher, Wen~ling. A ~sOLUTION to commend Ernest Ao Gottermeyer for his faithful and zealous service to the City of Lakewood as Councilman. WHEREAS, Elected to Office as Councilman at Large in. the City of Lakewood in 1949, Mr. Gottermeyer took his oath of office on January 1, 1950, and, %~EREAS, During the twelve years of his tenure as a Councilman, Mr. Gottermeyer maintained an abiding interest in the City's welfare, earning the esteem and respect of all those persons with whom he had contact, and, 'WHEREAS, Highly ~opular and respected, Mr. Gottermeyer brought credit and immeasurable benefit to the community, and, WHEREAS, Many years of constructive and progressive service to this community leaves all of the citizens deeply indebted to him, and, WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper that the outstanding and fruitful public service rendered by Mr. Gottermeyer be given public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council extends to Mr. Ernest A. Gottermeyer its deepest and heartfelt appreciation and that of all of the citizens of the community for his twelve years of selfless, civic-minded and untiring service as Councilman in the City of Lakewood,. which service is deserving of the unanimous accolade of the entire community and further that this Council wishes to him the utmost of success and prosperity in his business endeavors. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and he is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Ernest A. Gottermeyer at 15107 Edgewater Dr., Lakewood 7, Ohio, and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. Adopted: January 15, 1962, Robert M.
