RESOLUTION NO. 4156 BY:Messrs. Lawther, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendling, <br /> Williamson~ Gaydos, <br /> Huffman. <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of <br />Public Works to enter into a contract or contracts for the <br />purchase of two new packer-type trucks for the Division of <br />Refuse Collection and Disposal, Department of Public works. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of <br />the public safety, health and welfare and for the usual <br />daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and <br />he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />or contracts for the purchase of two new packer-type trucks <br />with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according <br />to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: ......
