AMENDED <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4169 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Wendling, Williamson, <br /> Gaydos, Huffman, <br /> Lawther, Usher, <br /> Ward. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing <br />the Director of Public Works to negotiate a contract for <br />the furnishing of electric street lighting service. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Electric street lighting is essential to <br />pedestrian and vehicular traffic within the City of Lakewood, <br />and~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a <br />contract for the furnishing of electric street lighting <br />service with the lowest and best bidder after advertise- <br />ment according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pre- <br />amble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:,,,,,,,September 4, 1962 <br /> <br />Approved: Septgmber 5~ .1962 <br /> <br />Robert M.
