RESOLUTION NO. 4170 BY:Messrs. Williamson, Gaydos, <br /> Hu£fman, L~wther, <br /> Usher, Ward, <br /> Wendling. <br /> AN F24ERGENCYRESOLUTION authorizing and directing <br />the Director of Public Works to enter into a contract for approx- <br />imately 6200 feet of two inch pipe without advertising. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has entered into a <br />contract for the cleaning and lining of water mains on Coutant <br />and Newman Avenues, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during such operation it is necessary <br />for a temporary water line to be laid while the regular mains are <br />out of service in order tO supply water to residents abutting <br />upon said streets, and, <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, the contractor is unable to supply such <br />pipe for temporary water lines, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the contractor anticipates the commencement <br />of the contract for cleaning and lining of the water mains within <br />the immediate future, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ it is necessa~f for the Director of Public <br />Works to secure pipe for temporary water lines immediately, and~ <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public healtk <br />and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br />ment; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD~ <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of <br />Section 735.051 of the Revised Code of Ohio, the Director of P~blic <br />Works be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for <br />the purchase of approximately 6200 feet of two inch pipe without <br />advertising. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
