AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as <br />Director of Public Safety, to enter into a contract or contracts <br />for the purchase of six (6) new four-door sedans and the sale of <br />six (6) used four-door sedans for the Division of Police, Depart- <br />ment of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of <br />the public safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation <br />of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public <br />Safety, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />a contract or contracts for the purchase of six (6) new four-dOor <br />sedans and for the sale of six (6) used four-door sedans as trade- <br />ins on such new motor vehicles, with the lowest and best bidder <br />after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and~provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall ta~e effect <br />and be in force ir0mediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />ApprOved:... <br /> <br />President ' <br /> clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
