RESOLUTION NO. 42~4 <br /> <br />Messrs. <br /> <br />Wendling~ Williamson, <br />Gaydos~ Huffman, <br />Lawther, Usher, Ward. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing <br />the Director of Public Safety to enter into a contract for the <br />purchase of one (1) new, i,000 gallon per minute pumper for the <br />Division of Fire,Department of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> ~qER~AS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the irmnediate prese~vation of the <br />public safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now, ~erefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY T~E COUNCIL OF ~E CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o T'hat the Director of Public Safety be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />for the purchase of one (1) new, 1,000 gallon per minute pumper for <br />the Division of Fire, and for the sale of one used, 1937 1250 gallon <br />per minute American LaFrance pumper, as a trade-in on such new <br />equipment, with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement <br />according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and provided it rece!ves the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members e~cted to Council, zt shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: May 6~ 1963 <br /> <br />Robert M.
