RESOLUTION NO. 4257 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Gaydos, Huffman, <br /> Lawther, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendling, <br /> Williamson. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director <br />of Public Works to enter into a contract for the purchase of <br />one (1) new packer-type truck for the Division of Refuse <br />Collectionand Disposal, Department of Public Works. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of <br />the public safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation <br />of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works~ be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a con- <br />tract for the purchase of one (1) new packer-type truck, and for <br />the sale of one 1936 White truck, as a traderin on such new <br />vehicle, with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement <br />according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2o This resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval ~y <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: July 15, 1963 <br /> <br />Robert M.
