Works <br />(2,000) tons of rock salt <br />1963 and ending Msrch 31, <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. ~ BY: ~$~ ~%~d~$~ ~t%~ <br /> <br />AN E~RGENCY RESOL~ION authorizing the Director of Public <br />~o enler into a contract for the purchase of two thousand <br /> for the period commencing November 1, <br /> 1964. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In order to provide safety for vehicular and <br />pedestrian traffic during the winter months, it is necessary to <br />purchase salt, and, <br /> <br /> B~EREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a muni- <br />cipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT REsoLVED BY THE COUNCIL O~ THE CITY OB LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OP OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for <br />the purchase of two thousand (2,000) tons of rock salt for the <br />period commencing November 1, 1963 and ending March 31, 1964, <br />for the Department of Public Works, with the lowest and best <br />bidder after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
