AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director <br />of Public Safety to enter into a contract or contracts for the <br />purchase of %wO (2) heavy duty four-door s%ation Wagons~ for the <br />Division of Police, Department of Public Safety° <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the <br />public health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That the Director of Public Safety be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />or contracts for the purchase of two (2) new heavy duty four-door <br />station wagons, and for the sale of one (1) 1953 Cadillac <br />ambulance and one (1) 1960 Ford four-door sedan, as trade-in on <br />such new vehicles, with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after <br />advertisement according to lawo <br /> <br /> Section 2~ This resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected' tm Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> Pres'lde~t <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
