Huffman, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendiing, <br /> Bennett, Cain, <br /> Gaydos. <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of <br />Public Works to enter into a contract for the purchase of <br />two thousand (2,000) tons of rock salt for the period com- <br />mencing Noven~er 1, 1964 and ending March 31, 1965. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In order to provide safety for vehicular <br />and pedestrian traffic during the winter months, it is <br />necessary to purchase salt, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ This zesolution Constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal department~ now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and <br />he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />for the purchase of two thousand (2,000) tons of rock salt <br />for the period commencing November i, 1964 and ending <br />March 31, 1965, for the Department of Public works, with <br />the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to <br />law. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
