RESOLUTION NO. 4383 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Gaydos, Huffman, <br />Usher, Ward, <br />Wendling, Bennett. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION expressing the appreciation <br />of the Council of the City of Lakewood to the Lakewood Lions Club <br />for the donation of school zone signs erected at Lincoln School. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Lakewood Lions Club has a long record <br />of keen interest in safety projects throughout the City, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Lakewood Lions Club has been and <br />currently is particularly interested in the safety of the school <br />children of this community, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Said Lions Club reCently concluded a <br />successful fund-raising project to purchase a set of school zone <br />flashing signs and has donated same to the City, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Said signs have already been installed <br />on Clifton BOulevard at or near Lincoln School, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Said project was under the leadership and <br />direction of Arland Smith and Dr. L. M. Litz; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section I. That the Council of the City of <br />Lakewood personally and collectively, and on behalf of the govern- <br />ment and citizens of the City, expresses its deep appreciation <br />and gratitude to the Lakewood Lions Club for its donation of the <br />set of school zone flashing signs to this City and commends said <br />Lions Club for its keen interest in the safety of the school <br />children of this community. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby <br />directed and instructed to forward a duly adopted and signed copy <br />of this resolution to said Lakewood Lions Club. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
