AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director <br />of Public works to enter into a contract or contracts <br />for the purchase of various, items of motor vehicle <br />equipment for the Department of Public Works of the <br />City of Lakewoodo <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate <br />preservation of the public safety and welfare <br />and for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO~ <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase <br />of the following motor vehicle equipment: <br /> <br />4 <br />3 <br />2 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />3 <br />1 <br /> <br />dump trucks <br />station wagons or compact panel trucks <br />sewer machines <br />pick-up truck <br />derrick truck <br />sewer rodder machine <br />rotary mower <br />utility truck <br />packer-type refuse trucks <br />ash truck <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present equipment <br />on such new vehicles with the lowest and best bidder <br />or bidders after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2° This resolution is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated <br />in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:~ <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> Clerk <br />Approved-~.~_~!~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
