RESOLUTION NO. ~22 BY: ~. ~ ~i~ ~ ~RG~ ~OLUTION au~orizing and directing the Director off Public Works to enter into a contract after agprovai ~ Council, for the installation of a~proximately 900 ft. of 10" water mains in Nicholson Avenue from Clifton Boulevard to Edg~ater Drive and ap~rox~ately 900 ft, of 8" water main from Nicholson Avenue, Easterly to connect with the existing 8" main at the W~sterly line of' the "Winton Place" property. WHEREAS, This Council has determined to proceed with the improvement set forth in the title hereof by contract, and, WHEREAS, This Resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a contract for the installation of approximately 900 Ft. of 10" water mains in Nicholson Avenue from clifton Boulevard to Edgewater Drive and approximately 900 ft. of 8" water main from Nicholson Avenue, Easterly to connect with the existing 8" main at the Westerly line of the "Winton Plece~ property, in accordance with plans prepared therefor in the office of the Director of Public Works, with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law, and only after approval of such contract by the Council of the City of Lakewood. Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
