RESOLUTION NO. 4437 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Cain, Gaydos, <br />Huffman, Usher, <br />Ward, Wendling, <br />Bennett. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION memorializing the Legislature of the <br />State· of Ohio to adopt legislation granting jurisdiction <br />over all traffic offenses committed by juveniles within the <br />City of Lakewood to the Lakewood Municipal Court.~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council is of the opinion that the <br />docket of the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court is seriously over- <br />loaded, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council is of the opinion that adminis- <br />tration of the Jurisdiction in juvenile traffic offenses cases <br />Should be admird~ered at the local level, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council is of the opinion that Lakewood <br />Municipal Court should have jurisdiction over all traffic of- <br />lenses committed by juveniles within the territorial jurisdic- <br />tion of said Court~ now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. This Council hereby urges both branches <br />of the State Legislature of the State of Ohio to give serious <br />and favorable consideration to the adoption of legislation <br />granting the jurisdiction of all traffic offenses committed by <br />juveniles within the territorial jurisdiction of the Lakewood <br />Municipal Court to said Court. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed <br />to forward certified copies of this resolution to the respective <br />Clerks of the Ohio Senate and the Ohio House of Representatives~ <br /> <br /> Section 3.
