RESOLUTION NO. 4443 BY: Messrs. Wendling, Bennett, <br /> Cain, Gaydos, <br /> HurDman, Usher, <br /> Ward. <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Finance Director of the City of Lakewood to accept the principal <br />and interest on special assessment levied on permanent parcel <br />number 313-15-72 on the Cuyahoga County Auditor's records and <br />authorizing the County Auditor to cancel said special assessment <br />for the years 1966 and 1967. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has special assessment charged against <br />the property hereinafter described and levied under Ordinance <br />No. 26-63 adopted by the Council of the City of Lakewood on MarCh <br />18, 1963~ and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The owner of the said property has tendered pay- <br />ment of the principal portion and interest on the special assess- <br />ment levied on said parcel pursuant to the provisions of Section <br />5719.16 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br />ment~ now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance of the City of <br />Lakewood be and he is hereby authorized and directed to accept <br />the sum of $26.18 tendered in payment of the principal and inter- <br />est for the years 1966 and 1967 of special assessment charged <br />against the property described as permanent parcel number 313-15-72 <br />on the Auditor's records of Cuyahoga County~ Ohio, and levied un- <br />der Ordinance No. 26-63, adopted by the Council of the City of <br />Lakewood on March 18, 1963. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That said special assessment as hereinbefore <br />set forth having been accepted as set forth in Section I hereof, <br />and the Auditor of Cuyahoga County be and he is hereby author- <br />ized to cancel said special assessment for the years 1966 and <br />1967 levied under Ordinance No. 26-63, adopted by the Council of <br />the City of Lakewood on March 18, 1963 on permanent parcel number <br />313-15-72 on the County Auditor's records and further described <br />as being Sublot number 5, in the J. Taylor Subdivision, each an- <br />nual assessment being in the amount of $13.09. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to deliver a certified copy of this reso- <br />lution to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County for the purpose of hav- <br />ing said special assessment canceled. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />AdoPted: October 18, 1965 <br /> <br />Approved:.
