RESOLUTION NO. 4484 BY: Messrs. Huffman, Kelley, Usher~ Ward, Wendling. AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works to advertise for bids for the construction of a Municipal Parking Garage. WHEREAS, Plans and Specifications have been prepared for the aforesaid Municipal Parking Garage by the consultants employed by the City, and, WHEREAS, It is the intention of the City of Lakewood to proceed forthwith with the construction of the aforesaid Municipal Parking Garage, and, WHEREAS, This Resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the construction of a Municipal Parking Garage in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the consultant employed by the City. Section 2. That the advertisement for said bids shall provide for and require that bids for the construction of said Municipal Parking Garage shall be in accordance with said plans and specifications, together with bids for portions thereof, as alternates which may be included in or eliminated from the contract for and the construction~ shall state that the City may accept or reject any or all bids, including alternates. section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption.
