RESOLUTION NOo 4503 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Huffman, Kelley, Usher <br />Ward, Wemdling, Cain & Gaydos <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public <br />WOrks to enter into a contract for the purchase of Two Thousand <br />(2,000) tons of rock salt for the period commencing November 1, <br />1966 and ending March 31, 1967o <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, in order to provide safety for vehicular and <br />pedestrian traffic during the winter months, it is necessary to <br />purchase salt, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the <br />purchase of Two Thousand (2,000) tons of rock salt for the period <br />commencing November 1, 1966 and ending March 31, 1967, for the <br />Department of Public Works, with the lowest and best bidder after <br />advertisement according to lawo <br /> <br /> Section 2o That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor° <br /> <br />Adopted: July....2 2, 1966 <br /> <br />Charles S Huffman~ Jr. <br /> President <br /> <br />Approved:....
