<br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION objecting to the issuance
<br />of a D-3 liquor permit to applicant Charles Dragomer dba
<br />Chuck's Sandwich Shop, an establishment located at 13601
<br />Detroit Avenue in the City of Lakewood, Ohio.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Charles Dragomer dba Chuck's Sandwich Shop
<br />has applied to the Department of Liquor Control, State of
<br />Ohio, for a D-3 liquor permit for the premises known as
<br />13601 Detroit Avenue in the City of Lakewood, Ohio, and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, The immediate neighborhood is overly
<br />saturated with liquor and beer establishments at the present
<br />time, and,
<br />
<br /> ~EREAS, The aforementioned premises are located
<br />directly across the street from Sto Edward's High School, and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Said applicant currently conducts a
<br />restaurant and lunch counter frequented by high school children,
<br />and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, This Council is of the opinion that, by
<br />reason of the foregoing, the premises in question are unsuit-
<br />able for 'the location of a D-3 liquor permit, and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency
<br />measure in that it provides for the preservation of the public
<br />peace, property, health and safety and for the usual daily
<br />operation of a municipal department; now, therefore,
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD,
<br />STATE OF OHIO:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That this Council hereby strenuously
<br />objects to the granting, by the Department of Li.quor Control,
<br />of the State of Ohio, of the application of Charles Dragomer
<br />for the issuance of a D-3 Liquor Permit for the premises known
<br />as 13601 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, for the reasons stated
<br />above.

<br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby
<br /> directed to submit two certified copies of this resolution and
<br /> also two signed statements listing the reasons for the objection
<br /> to the Department of Liquor Control, State of Ohio, Permit
<br /> Division, within thirty (30) days from October 3, 1966~
<br />
<br /> - Section 3. That the President of Council designate a
<br /> member of the Council to represent Council at any hearings
<br /> before the Department of Lmquor Control, State of Ohio.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to
<br />be an emergency measure and provided it receives the affirma-
<br />tive vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Counci3 it
<br />shall take effect and be in force immediately, upon its ~ ption
<br />and approval by the Mayor.
