RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />BY: Kelley, Usher, <br /> Cain, Gaydos, Huffman <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION requesting the Auditor of Cuyahoge County to <br />draw and the Treasurer of Cuyahoga County to pay to the Director of <br />Finance of the City of Lakewood an advance of taxes collected for the <br />year 1966 in such amounts as may be requested and available. <br /> <br />%fliEREAS, Section 321.34 of the Revised Code provides that when local <br />authorities by resolution so request, the County Auditor shall draw <br />and the County Treasurer shall pay on such draft to township clerks, <br />treasurers of municipal corporations, the Clerk of any board of <br />education, and the treasurer of any other political subdivision <br />or taxing district whose funds derived from taxes or other sources <br />are payable by law to the County Treasurer, any money that may be <br />in the county treasury to the accounts of such local authorities; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, It will be necessary for the City of Lakewood to obtain an <br />advance of taxes prior to the regular tax settlement for the year; <br />and <br /> <br />~EREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the imediate preservation of the public property and for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF ORIO: <br /> <br />Section 1, That the Auditor of Cuyahoga County be requested to draw <br />and the Treasurer of Cuyahoga County be requested to pay to the <br />Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, an advance <br />of taxes for the year 1966 in such amount as may be requested of him <br />and which are available. <br /> <br />Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be au emer§ency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:_.Januar,~ 6, 1967 <br /> <br />.....
