RESOLUTION NO. 4562 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Huffman~ <br /> Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendl <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing payment of a <br />moral claim in the amount of $430.00 to John B. Seelie. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, John B. Seelie was for 21 years a patrol- <br />man in the Division of Police, City of Lakewood, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Said patrolman was placed on disability <br />pension effective December 31, 196~, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, During his 21 years of service~ he accumu- <br />lated overtime in the amount of 127 hours, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council has determined that it has a <br />moral obligation to compensate said patrolman for said accumulated <br />overtime, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to pay to John B. Seelie, as a <br />moral claim, the sum of $430.00 from the Police Appropriation of <br />the General Fund, for overtime accumulated while he was on active <br />duty with the Division of Police, City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: APril..17, 1967 <br /> <br /> ......
