RESOLUTION NO. 4564 BY: Messrs Gaydos, Huffman, Kelley, <br /> Usher, Ward and Wendling <br /> <br /> AN E~RGENCY RESOLUTION urging support of the Cleveland <br />Indians by the citizens of the City of Lakewood during the year <br />of 1967. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, baseball is a major American source of enjoy- <br />ment and entertainment, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cleveland Indians not only contribute to <br />the enjoyment and entertainment of the northeastern Ohio area but <br />also to its economic well-being, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the baseball season will commence in Cleveland <br />with a game on April 19, 1967; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the City of Lakewood will support the <br />Cleveland Indians by urging all its citizens to attend the opening <br />game on April 19, 1967, and further, to continue to support the <br />team throughout the season. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: April 17, 1967 <br /> <br />Charles S.
