RESOLUTION NOo 4566 BY: Messrs. Huffman, Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendling, Cain and Gaydos AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to make application to the U. S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare for a Federal Grant to help defray the cost of an intercepting sewer line on Riverside Drive in the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, 33 U. S. C. 466, et seq. provides that the U. S. Government may participate financially in the construction of intercepting sewers by municipalities, and, WHEREAS, The City of Lakewood is desirous of obtain- ing financial assistance in the construction of its proposed intercepting sewer line project on Riverside Drive, and, WHEREAS~ This resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby auth- orized and directed to make application to the U. S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare for a federal grant to help defray the cost of an intercepting sewer line on Riverside Drive in the City of Lakewood. Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
