RESOLUTION NO. 4596 BY: <br /> <br />Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, <br />Kelley, Usher, Ward, <br />Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION objecting to the issuance of a <br />D-4 liquor permit to applicant Moose Loom Lodge 2103 for an <br />establishment located at 13619 Detroit Avenue in the City of <br />Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Moose Loom Lodge 2103 has applied to the <br />Department of Liquor Control, State of Ohio, for a D-4 liquor <br />permit for the premises known as 13619 Detroit Avenue in the <br />City of Lakewood, Ohio, and, <br /> <br /> W~REAS, The in~lediate neighborhood is overly saturated <br />with liquor and beer establishments at the present time, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The aforementioned premises are locate~ <br />in close proximity to St. Edward's High School, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council is of the opinion that, by reason <br />of the foregoing, the premises in question are unsuitable for <br />the location of a D-4 liquor permit, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />in that it provides for the preservation of the public peace, <br />property, health and safety and for the usual daily operation <br />of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council hereby strenuously objects <br />to the granting, by the Department of Liquor Control of the State <br />of Ohio, of the application of Moose Loom Lodge 2103 for the <br />issuance of a D-4 Liquor Permit for the premises known as <br />13619 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, for the reasons stated <br />above. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed <br />to submit two certified copies of this resolution and also two <br />signed statements listing the reasons for the objection, to the <br />Department of Liquor Control, State of Ohio, Permit Division, <br />within thirty (30) days from December 13, 1967. <br /> <br /> Section 3o That the President of Council designate a <br />member of Council to represent Council at any hearings before <br />the Department of Liquor Control, State of Ohio. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
