RESOLUTION NO. 4611 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Huffmam, Kelley, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendling, Gaydos, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION declaring the necessity and intent <br />of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, to appropriate certain real property <br />pursuant to the Urban Renewal Plan for the sloane Avenue Redevelop- <br />ment Area Urban Renewal Project, and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, An Urba~ Renewal Plan for the Sloane Avenue <br />Redevelopment Area Urban Renewal Pro3ect was adopted by the Council <br />of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, by Ordinance No, 2~68 , <br />adopted 8 1968, and~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, For the purpose of eliminating the conditions of <br />blight determined by Council in said ordinance to exist in the <br />Project Area covered by said Urban Renewal Plan, and for the <br />further purpose of preventing the recurrence of such conditions of <br />blight, it is necessary to acquire certain real property located <br />within said Project Area, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Negotiations between duly authorized representatives <br />of the City and the owner of the parcel(s) described in this reso- <br />lution have failed to result in any determination of reasonable <br />compensation for said parcel(s) acceptable to the City and the <br />aforesaid owner. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF I2%KEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That it is deemed necessary and it is hereby <br />declared to be the intent of this Council to appropriate the fee <br />simple absolute estate in and to the real property hereinafter <br />described for the purpose of eliminating the conditions of blight <br />and preventing the recurrence thereof in the aforesaid Project <br />Area by executing and implementing the Urban Renewal Plan for the <br />Sloane Avenue Redevelopment Area Urban Renewal Project~ including <br />the clearance and sale of such real property by the City for <br />redevelopment pursuant to the Urban Renewal Plan. Such real <br />property is described as follows: <br /> <br />PARCEL A - 1370 Sloane Avenue <br />OWNER: Sloan'e'Investment Company~ <br /> <br />inc.,Permanent Parcel NO. <br /> 311-14-36 <br /> <br />Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga and State <br />of Ohio and known as being all of Sublot No. 46 in Mathews and <br />Gilbert High Bridge Park Subdivision No. 4 of part of Original <br />Rockport Township Section NOo 23, as shown by the recorded plat <br />mn Volume 3O of Maps~ Page 10 of Cuyahoga County Records, and <br />being 45 feet front on the Westerly side of Sloane Avenue, and <br />extending back 210 feet deep on the Northerly tine~ 207.92 feet <br />deep on the Southerly line, and 28.47 feet wide in the rear, as <br />appears by said plat,be the same more or less~ but subject to <br />all legal highways. <br /> <br /> <br />
